A triathlete needs many essential pieces of equipment on race day. There are lots of things to remember and we hope this checklist will help you make sure you have bring everything you need on your big race this season.

Pre-Race:

  • Warm clothes for race morning
  • Spare shoes to wear when you leave your running shoes in transition
  • Bike pump (don’t forget to pump up your tires before your race)

Swim:

  • Tri shorts and top, speedsuit, or tri suit
  • Wetsuit
  • 2 sets of goggles (you never know just in case – or if you prefer a specific goggle tint depending on the day’s weather)
  • Body glide

Bike:

  • Helmet
  • Cycling shoes
  • Sunglasses
  • Water bottle(s)
  • Race belt

Run:

  • Running shoes
  • Hat or visor
  • Race belt

Accessories (optional):

  • Watch
  • Heart-rate monitor strap
  • Bento box (for bike – great storage option for nutrition/snacks)
  • CO2 cartridges for bike
